Castles to visit include Glamis Castle, Blair Castle and Scone Palace. There are many gardens to visit, notably Glendoick which specialises in rhododendrons and azaleas. For those interested, there is a whisky trail to follow. There are walks galore, munros to be bagged and hills to be climbed. The weather is much better than the weather forecasters on the TV would have you believe. We are sheltered from the weather from the west by the Grampian Mountains and receive 50% less rain than on the west coast, which makes this area ideal for growing strawberries and raspberries. Visit Scotland
Ridgeway Bed and Breakfast was a member of Visit Scotland for 15 years (1996 to 2011) and was graded at 3 stars during all of that time. We are no longer a member of Visit Scotland as we are of the opinion that it offers very poor value for money. However, this does not mean our standards have dropped - the quality of our accommodation and the service and consideration we offer our guests has in no way diminished (see the "guests' comments" page and also comments on www.tripadvisor.co.uk ).
No Smoking
Please Note. UK regulations do not allow smoking inside the bungalow. Guests who smoke are welcome to do so outside in the beautiful garden.
